"Assalammualaikum!
Kaifa Ha Lu Kum?"
Kaifa Ha Lu Kum?"
NPMSS Iftar was excellent! It was great! It was fun! It was a success! Alhamdullilah! I am so glad that everything went as planned and there were no major hiccups! Alhamdulillah, everybody cooperated and worked as a team, that is most important. One dissapointing factor was the fact that only two yr 2 students were present for the event. Hidayah and Nurul, no guys representitive at all. The graduates were asking me "where are the rest from my batch?" and what was I suppose to say. Hmmmm...! Apa seh! And no worries Amilin, I am not angry at you for not coming.
Being the 'mak pengantin' really drained me of all my energy. Started doing all the labour work at 3pm and the work did not end till an hour after the event. Now my 2 hands are aching, so pain! Why is it in pain? It must have been how I carried the mop from MSS clubhouse to room 20. And must be because of the the arranging, pulling, pushing, dis-arranging and arranging the tables and chairs in room 20. Not only my arms are in pain but my legs too! My legs really felt like giving way when I was doing my terawih, the 11 raka'ats in total. Great pain! Too much walking and running around, I guess. Anyway, our terawih was led by our own Mr President, Imam Al-Hakim and our Bilal was Farhan. As expected, Hakim's voice was.....ohhhhh...so melodious! This was from Zafirah's blog, a girl from SP who attended our Iftar, 'the terawih was lead by their own President woo hoo nice, bacaan dier pun Masya-Allah menyayat hati. Very peaceful nice feeling.' Am sooo proud of Hakim! Wishing in silence that I could read and memorize the Holy-Quran, just like him. Amin.
On to the food. The food was all great. We had chicken briyani as the main dish. Had mini karipaps, chocolate doughnuts, corn pudding, mini banana muffins, honeydew and watermelon for fruits and cocktail for dessert. Thanks to Al-Ameen for the superlicious chicken briyani and Darussalam Mosque for the porridge. And many thanks to the other members for contributing pastries and kuehs. The spread was more than enough to feed the many who came, so we had to pack the bubur masjid, the dates and the many other dishes for the members to take-away. Cause I was way too busy, to even sit down and eat, I only had 3 cups of punch and 1 mini super-delicious chocolate doughnut as part of my breaking fast. As the other attendees did their 'mahgrib', we had to quickly scoop the briyani onto the many trays to feed the mass after they finish their prayers. The briyani must have been finger-licking good! I saw many of the boys really licking their fingers (sunah Nabi) and we had many requests for more rice and chicken. Hmmmm....sedapnya!
After dinner, we did our Isyak in congregation. Than our 8 + 3 terawih. As some of the members left for home, after the terawih, we started packing all the leftovers for those who were still helping us arrange the room furnitures. I first started with packing the many kilograms of dates. Someone requested for a kilo of dates, so that he can bring back to make kuih raya, brought his own container some more! Hehehe. After packing the dates, moved into the room and had to start packing the kuehs and the desserts. Packed for those who wanted it only. Just made sure that I am left with nothing to throw away. It's just not right to waste food, rite? Packing food was quite a hassle especially when I was in my abaaya, the long, flowing sleeves kept getting in the way.
At around 10.15pm, then I got to taste the chicken briyani. Me, Sakeenah, Hafiz, Nadia and Masyita shared a tray of briyani. I didn't eat much and we could not even finish the cold but still delicious briyani. Too tired to even eat, even though my tummy was growling at it's loudest. Left school near to 11pm. Alfian had to return the big, silver, steel pot to Al-Ameen. The both of us took bus service 75. It's not everyday, u get to see someone take a public bus with a big pot like that, so as Alfian board the bus everyone's eyes were on him and his pot. Hehehehe. Funny lar! Humiliating moment for my assistant! Hehehe.
Got home at around midnight. Went straight to my bedroom after talking for a few minutes with mum. In the room, excitedly told my sister about the event and "......". So nice!!! Lying in the cold, dark room, resting my aching body, I suddenly got the urge to vomit. Boy! I HATE that urge! So I ran to the kitchen, drank half a cup of zamzam water, and started whining about the sharp pain in my tummy. Mum was not at all sympathetic. What she had to say was "tak ada penyakit, cari penyakit". Why she said that? The reason why I was in pain, was because I did not eat till around 10+pm as I was too busy serving people during the Iftar and she said I should have known better than to delay my eating. I was really in pain. Had to run to the toilet, to do 'u-know-what', thrice in half an hour. Sick! I was having pain in the tummy, and I had diarrohea. Never mind, it was worth the sacrifice...
Anyway, job well done to all who were involved! All in all, I love NPMSS Iftar 2004. *clap, clap, clap* And I love the sweet memories that came with it. (U should know part of the sweet memories, rite Lin?) Amilin! This portion I forgot to tell ya, "......" even asked me whether I had eaten when he already finished his, and when I said 'no', his reply was "pergilah makan...." Awwww....! Hehehehe...
I told myself that my likeness for him has faded a little and it would be not be a problem, forgetting him. I was wrong, this time. As I laid my eyes on him yesterday, my likeness for him rejuvenated. I am head over heels, yet again!
