Have you ever listened to melodious reading of the Al-Quran which in turn pulls a cord in your heart and makes your eye tear? I have had the chance. Alhamdulillah. Ever since, I became a 'fan' of that imam. His high-pitched reading, is one of the best in the world. This imam reads with his heart and even cries at some point, while reading. He must have been moved by the flawless words of the Al-Quran. I want to experience that again and again, thus I must make an effort to learn the Arab language. Which is without doubt, very tough.

Catch him 'live' on RTM 1 at 1.15am, where he leads the terawih congregation at Masjidil Haram. There is also this great website, where you can listen to him read the Al-Quran.
