"what makes me different..."
"Assalammualaikum
Kaifa Ha Lu Kum?"
To all my friends who are dating or who are in relationships, let me enlighten you with some thoughts of mine. First and foremost, this is NOT a personal attack on any of you, my friends. I don't mean to humiliate anyone or to potray that I am perfect in any way, cause I am NOT.
Please, please, please....don't get me wrong.
Dear beloved friends, DATING before marriage is actually discouraged in Islam. But if you do date, know your limit and restriction!!! Being boyfriends and girlfriends does NOT give you the 'green light' to do stuffs like --> hugging, holding hands, kissing, leaning on his shoulder while sleeping in the bus or any other close contact acts. Let's not hold hands, hug, kiss, be intimate, just because the rest of the world is doing it. You should know those things are 'HARAM' (forbidden). It aches my heart, seeing dating teens, especially those clad in 'tudung', doing all those mentioned acts. If you really can't hold back your 'nafsu' any longer, get married as soon as possible. Only 'nikah' (marriage), and let me repeat that again, ONLY 'NIKAH' (not even engagement) makes those acts 'HALAL'.
You might say, I am in no place to say all this for I am not dating and not experiencing what you are experiencing. But dear sisters/brothers in Islam, it is compulsory as a muslim, for me to practice 'amar ma'ruf, nahi mungkar'. To encourage you to do good deeds and leave the bad ones.
As a human, I am not perfect myself. Still learning. And forever will, insya'allah. And I am not saying that I am a saint. I sure am not. I am just like you and you, bound to make mistakes in life. So when I do make mistakes, which I will, it is your duty my sisters/brothers, to set me right from wrong. May Allah protect us and may we be on the right path in Islam.
Yesterday's 'Spring Cleaning', only a handful turned up. But it was still fun, we had a mini picnic in the muslimah's room, had sandwiches and fried rice. And the muslimin's room, never looked that clean before. But being boys, give them 3 days and the room will be transformed to it's original state.
Went to 2 weddings today. One, a block away from mine and the other one at Jurong. Nowadays, the 'pelamin' all so damn nice! Issshh...can't wait for my own 'pelamin'. Hehehehe. Kidding!

-The goldish cream coloured 'pelamin'. I like!-
